First series contains political campaign literature from various Cambridge candidates seeking public office from 1925 to 1958. It consists of Dear Friend letters, political pamphlets, fliers, leaflets, candidate brochures, rally and party invitation cards, voter guides, written campaign songs, and reprints of news articles. Initiative petition ballots, bumper stickers, warrants for state elections, instructional booklets for local election officials, inaugural addresses and absentee ballots are also included among this material. Historical paraphernalia collection dates from 1930 to 1952. This series consists of church bulletins, newspapers, letters, pamphlets, flyers, magazines, journals, and schematic drawings. The bulk of the subject matter involves the New Deal and World War II.
